Connecting to Co-Aligned
Setting a Static IP Address
To connect to cAHP over ethernet, a static IP address will need to be assigned to the desired port used for connection (native Ethernet port, or USB-C/A if using an adapter/switch). Some organizations may require IT privileges to edit a port's IP address.
To set a static IP address for the desired port in Windows:
1
Open Network Status (Network and Internet Settings)
2
Change Adapter Options
3
Select the correct Ethernet connection -> Right Click -> Properties
4
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) -> Properties
5
Use the Following IP Address: 10.0.65.2
+
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Hyperspec III
Included with Headwall CoAligned is a USB drive with software configuration elements needed for Hyperspec III.
Find the sensorConfig folder on the USB (usually in \Software), copy this to C:\Headwall\ on your field laptop and processing desktop.
Two licenses are allowed per system. HSIII needs to be installed on field machine for SWIR setup, *and can be used for VNIR setup with some configuration file tweaks. HSIII is also used to download data from the SWIR sensor, *and VNIR sensor if setup for HSIII. If users only have a single field machine, the second license should be installed on your processing machine. If users have multiple field machines that need HSIII installed and licensed, SWIR download will need to happen from a field machine.
Hyperspec III License Request
1
Install Hyperspec III / SpectralView. Both software are installed through the same installer.
2
Open SpectralView
3
File -> License Request
4
License request file is generated at C:\Headwall\HSIII64\HSIII_License_Request.req
6
Open New Ticket
7
Under Help Topic, choose License Request
8
Fill out required information, attach license request file, and submit ticket.
HSInsight
Headwall Nano HP runs a web-based software, HS Insight, directly on the hardware. Users do not need any additional software installed or licensed to work with the Nano HP.
Headwall HSInsight is the default configuration software exclusively for the Nano HP VNIR sensor. While Hyperspec III files can be modified to allow Nano HP configuration, both HSInsight and Hyperspec III provide the same core functionality. GRYFN recommends HSInsight for Nano HP setup due to its stability with the Nano HP, but users may decide for themselves which software fits their workflows best.
Spectral View
Bundled in the installer with HSIII, Spectral View is Headwall's radiometric correction and data processing tool. With GRYFN's integration, Spectral View is not needed.
Batch Process Tool
Batch Process Tool is Headwall's newest software that allows users to radiometrically correct SWIR data using the new Rolling Dark Correction (RDK) method. Batch Process Tool requires that Spectral View is installed and licensed on the same machine. Therefore, BPT should be installed on a system with HSIII/SV installed and licensed.
GRYFN Processing Tool natively converts raw Nano HP data to radiance.
Coming soon, GRYFN will integrate RDK radiance conversion for SWIR sensors directly into GRYFN Processing Tool, thus eliminating the need for Spectral View or Batch Process Tool.
