The Ideal System for VNIR-SWIR Remote Sensing UAV Missions

Headwall’s original Hyperspec® Co-Aligned VNIR-SWIR sensor became the best-selling system of its kind. The next-generation Co-Aligned HP™ VNIR-SWIR features improved VNIR spatial resolution, as well as a greater number of spectral bands in an exceptionally small, light, and power-efficient form factor.

The Co-Aligned HP can be purchased as a payload for integration onto compatible UAVs or as part of integrated Turnkey systems that include the drone. Compatible UAVs/drones include the workhorse DJI Matrice 600 Pro and the Freefly Alta X which is made in the USA and supports NDAA-compliance (call us about Blue compliance). For these documents, integration will use the Inspired Flight IF1200.

Optional accessories such as a Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) unit can be incorporated into payloads suitable for your needs. This enables capture of point-cloud data for creating high-resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) or 3D renderings with third-party software.

Portable and Robust

The Headwall Co-Aligned HP comes with a high-performance GPS/IMU and enables LiDAR to be added. Headwall’s Hyperspec® III and browser-based HSInsight™ interface make setting up acquisition and downloading data easy.

GRYFN Integration

Partnering with Headwall to integrate the Co-Aligned HP on Inspired Flight's IF1200 aircraft, GRYFN brings the power of our state-of-the-art post-processing software, GRYFN Processing Tool. Reliant on GRYFN's robust full-system boresight calibration, users can process hyperspectral orthomosaics, LiDAR point clouds and DEMs in GRYFN Processing Tool to achieve centimeter level accuracy data products in the easiest to use HSI processing software on the market.

GRYFN Processing Tool can output raw, radiance, or reflectance HSI orthomosaics. GRYFN Processing Tool natively converts Headwall NanoHP raw data to radiance data. Paired with GRYFN's custom deployable calibrated reflectance panel system, users can perform an ELM correction to output products in reflectance.

Headwall's uVS SWIR sensor requires the BatchProcessWidget to convert raw data to radiance using rolling dark correction, where GRYFN Processing Tool can then correct to reflectance data.

Coming soon to GRYFN Processing Tool: On-the-fly RDK-RD processing directly in GRYFN Processing Tool with no additional software requirements.

GRYFN Processing Tool calls Applanix's POSPac UAV software in the background to seamlessly post-process APX-15 GNSS/INS data to provide the highest level of georeferencing accuracy.
