The GRYFN Plot Extraction Tool

The GRYFN Plot Extraction Tool generates plot boundaries automatically from drone-based point cloud or image data. The tool provides versatile editing features that enable users to refine the boundaries as needed. It aligns seamlessly with GRYFN’s goal of streamlining the workflow for multi-modal, multi-temporal drone-based remote sensing data analytics.

Figure 1 showcases the plots extracted from a LiDAR point cloud and overlaid on an RGB orthomosaic.

Terminology

For trial design

Figure 2 illustrates the definitions of range, row, segment, and plot. In the figure, the green rectangles represent plants and the field consists of two row plots.

Figure 3 illustrates the definitions of segment length and segment width.

For detection

For general information, feedback, and support, please contact GRYFN by email at .

Figure 4 illustrates the definitions of alley detection, row center detection, and row gap detection. In the figure, the green rectangles represent plants, and the black lines are the detections (see also ).
