What makes up the module itself?

Here's what's inside:

GRYFN Integration PCBA

The Applanix APX-15 at the heart of the GRYFN Precision Tracking Module is an OEM component with many inputs, outputs, and optional features. The key integration component enabling the APX-15 is GRYFN's custom integration PCBA which supplies power, an RJ45 ethernet interface, and LED status indicators.

Power Supply

The GRYFN Integration PCBA for the precision tracking module supplies under and over-voltage protected, over-current protected, and reverse-voltage protected 9V power to the APX from a single 18650 size lithium-ion battery cell. A low-voltage cutoff is employed to limit battery drain to about 3.3V. Power can be toggled via the red button on the module.

Battery and Charger

The battery in the GRYFN Tracking module is a lithium-ion 18650 cell which installs into the module as shown below. The included battery is a Panasonic NCR18650B. It is charged with a NITECORE UI1, also included with the module.

LED Status Indicators

There are 3 status indicators on the module that indicate status of the APX. A red LED that indicates power/status, an amber LED that indicates satellite status, and a green LED that indicates IMU navigation status. See tables below for a description of LED status indicators.
